CELEBRATION DINNER EVENT
This year's Best and Brightest of Michiana Dinner will be held on APRIL 29, 2008 at the Century Center in South Bend, Indiana.  Keynote speaker for the event will be Bill Rancic, original winner of NBC's "The Apprentice."  In addition to being a dynamic and charismatic speaker, Bill recently wrote a book for youth entitled, "Beyond The Lemonade Stand."  Bill is a JA Kid, having experienced Junior Achievement programming at the high school level.  Recently, Bill was the guest speaker at Junior Achievement's Worldwide conference in Washington D.C.  For a complete biography on Bill Rancic, please click here.

This year's host and emcee for the 2008 Best and Brightest of Michiana is Mark A. Tarner, President of the South Bend Chocolate Company.  In addition to being a well-known, successful entrepreneur, Mark is very active in is community.  A native Hoosier and graduate of Clay High School, Mark has a BA and MA in European History from Eastern Illinois University.  For a complete bio on Mark Tarner and the South Bend Chocolate Company, please visit their company website.

NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the Best and Brightest will be accepted from January 7 to February 29.  Nomination forms can be filled out online, downloaded from this website, mailed, faxed or emailed.  "Best and Brightest" finalists in each industry will be notified and will be featured in a business insert distributed to 80,000 homes and businesses in both Michigan and Indiana.

FINALIST RECOGNITION
All finalists and a guest will be invited and recognized at an exclusive business dinner event at the Century Center in South Bend, Indiana on April 29, 2008. All finalists will receive recognition for their outstanding professional accomplishments, community involvement, and leadership.  One "Best and Brightest" in each category will be awarded from the finalists, chosen by a committee of individuals representing each industry and members of  the Junior Achievement Board of Directors.

All proceeds from this event benefit local economic and entrepreneurship programming! Thank you for supporting the future of our community - our youth!
